How to Become a Member

Area Residents

In 2023, membership is FREE, thanks to a generous bequest from the estate of Patricia and Wayne Jobb. Becoming a member of the PHRC: Any resident of Area A SCRD can become a member of the library for a $10. annual fee. A member can borrow up to 6 books at a time, for a period of 3 weeks, with renewals allowed for further borrowing. Books classified as “new” to the library can be renewed only once. Fines for overdue books are 10 cents per day that we are open. We do not charge fines for overdue childre’s picture books.

Visitors

Non-resident use of the library: Visitors to the area are very welcome to use the library and can become members if they can show a resident address. Otherwise, we do ask for a $40  deposit by cheque, to take out books. We hold the cheque and return it to you at the end of your stay.

Request a Book to be purchased: Please send us an email with the title of the book, author, and publisher, if possible.
