How to Become a Member

Area Residents

Any resident of Area A SCRD can become a member of the library for FREE. A member can borrow up to 6 books at a time, for 3 weeks, with renewals allowed for further borrowing. Books classified as “new” to the library can be renewed only once. Fines have recently been abolished.

Visitors

Non-resident use of the library: Visitors to the area are very welcome to use the library and can become members if they can show a resident address. Otherwise, we do ask for a $40  deposit by cheque, to take out books. We hold the cheque and return it to you at the end of your stay.

Special Requests

Request a Book to be purchased: Please send us an email with the title of the book, author, and publisher, if possible.  If the book is more than 2 years old, we may request if from another library.
